Lockwood
LOCKWOOD TRAILER from Donnie McCormick on Vimeo.
Synopsis: Hoping for a big break on the story of a missing girl, newspaper writer Robert O’Dwyer returns to his hometown of Lockwood and must choose between his career and his family in order to uncover the girl’s killer in this 1920′s period piece.
Director Statement: A clash of old times and new, the short narrative film Lockwood embodies the word “conflict”. With a current rise in career driven individuals in American society, this film brings back the values and challenges of an earlier time. A time where the word “community” had a much different meaning and that getting the news meant waiting until tomorrow morning for the paper. Shot with a cinematic style similar to a classic western and the driven by the suspense of a thriller, Lockwood is bound to keep audiences attention even in the fast paced world we currently live in. To say the least, the term “short and sweet” never had a better example.
