Each of the official selection films will be reviewed by a panel of 12 judges. This is to minimize the influence of any one opinion and better reflect the appeal to a wider audience. The identeties of the judges will be announced on January 10th, one month prior to the festival. The announcement will be published on this web site. Here is what we CAN tell you now. In keeping with our independent spirit, the panel will be comprised of non individuals who are industry professionals, but will also include notable guest judges to represent the film enthusiast perspective. With the exception of Audience Choice Awards the judging process will conclude before February 1st 2013. The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony February 10, 2013. Though we highly encourage and appreciate attendance, Film makers are not required to be at the festival and representative can be appointed to receive on behalf of the winning film maker.
There will also be an audience favorite award for best feature and best short.
